Is there a science for definitions? Part II

* Science is about proving the explanation about something as general as possible. E.g. E = mcˆ2.

* Engineering is about solving problems without necessarily proving the explanation about something. E.g. to light up a room without proving that E = mcˆ2.

* Philosophy is about what needs to be explained, the problem to be solved, the understanding behind the proofs. E.g. What is the relation among E, m, and c, given that E is 'defined' as energy, m as mass, and c as the speed of light. What means E = mcˆ2.

So, to 'define' is philosophy.

There is no science for definitions!!
